Privacy policy

snagad lists Amazon and Walmart deals on the web and in its iOS and Android apps. This page explains what information snagad collects, and what it doesn't.

The apps

The snagad apps have no accounts and no sign-in. They contain no analytics, no ads, and no tracking, and they don't use your device's advertising ID.

Deals you save are stored only on your device and are never sent to snagad. If your device backs up app data to iCloud or Google, your saved deals may be included in that backup. Deleting the app deletes them.

To show deals, the apps request deal data from snagad.com. Like any web server, snagad's server may log your IP address and request details, such as the time and the page requested, for security and to keep the service running.

Product images load directly from Amazon's and Walmart's image servers, which receive your IP address and standard request details, such as your device type.

The website

The website may use Google Analytics to count page views and clicks on store links. Google Analytics sets cookies and sends Google details such as the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

If you pick a theme, the website remembers your choice in your browser's local storage. It stays in your browser and isn't sent to snagad.

The website's server keeps the same kind of request logs described for the apps, and product images load from Amazon's and Walmart's image servers in the same way.

When you report a code that didn't work, on the website or in the apps, snagad keeps the code with a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself, to stop abuse.

Store links

snagad is an Amazon Associate and may take part in Walmart's affiliate program, so store links can earn snagad a commission. When you tap a store link, you leave snagad for Amazon or Walmart. Those sites may set their own cookies, and their own privacy policies apply.

What snagad doesn't do

snagad doesn't sell or share your personal information. snagad doesn't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
